California Rangeland Trust

The Rangeland Trust is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1998 when a group of forward-thinking cattlemen and cattlewomen came together to protect the stewardship, natural resources, and open spaces of California’s ranches. We protect what matters by working with California ranching families to preserve our state’s rangeland, air and water quality, wildlife habitat, and local food supplies. The largest statewide California land trust, the Rangeland Trust has permanently protected over 388,000 acres of private working rangelands in the Golden State. With 88 landowner partners with Rangeland Trust conservation easements, and another 95+ in our queue, the Rangeland Trust can provide the outreach, contacts, and support to the CERF with the California livestock industry.
