We Prosper Together bridges together eight counties, representing over 140 organizations across 11+ diverse industries. Our partners include representatives, residents, businesses, local governments, and community organizations in Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties.

California Jobs First, formerly Community Economic Resilience Fund (CERF), is a $600 million statewide initiative to support and foster regional economic resilience to create accessible, high-quality jobs for all Californians. The work of We Prosper Together builds off of California Jobs First.

We Prosper Together envisions an inclusive and resilient economy that represents and meets our community needs, enabling families to thrive for generations.

We Prosper Together is a collaborative composed of five subregional committees that represent the diverse regions we serve. Subregional committees provide recommendations on strategy and projects with final decisions and approval made by our Leadership Council. Valley Vision provides overarching support for We Prosper Together. See our full governance structure.

Valley Vision serves as the regional convener and backbone support to We Prosper Together. Valley Vision is bringing together partners to lead this work and ensuring that the goals and values of We Prosper Together are being met.

Each and every voice from our region is necessary to creating and putting into action an economic plan that works for us. Getting involved is flexible to you and can range from joining our coalition, resharing our content, completing community surveys, or attending events. 

Paired with sustained community outreach efforts, inclusive planning tables will co-design a blueprint for our regional economy. Representatives from the diverse communities throughout our region — from urban to rural to tribal — are at the table to provide their input and expertise to ensure a collaborative process towards a community-centered and community-led economic plan.

We Prosper Together follows the definition of a disinvested community set by California Jobs First, which considers the many challenges these communities face that are the result of a history of inequitable land use and zoning policies, exclusionary economic development processes, underinvestment, and a lack of meaningful engagement with community residents in planning and policy decisions.
