City of Sacramento (Councilmember Mai Vang)

As the Sacramento City Councilmember of District 8, in collaboration with Mayor Steinberg’s office, we have organized and co-led the Food Justice Task Force consisting of advocates, stakeholders, service providers and community organizations to address food insecurity citywide. Our task force is committed to improving access to healthy, affordable, and culturally appropriate food in our community, and continue to uplift and invest in community organizations, local minority and women-owned businesses and urban farmers to build a more resilient food system that reflects the rich diversity of our community.
