Greater Sacramento Economic Council

GSEC is a public-private partnership that unites business and community leaders to create one cohesive regional economic development strategy for the six-county Greater Sacramento (El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba Counties) region with a focus on growth, sustainability, equity, and competitiveness. GSEC’s public-private Board of Directors, comprised of 45+ CEOs and 20 communities, leads the execution of tradable-sector economic development strategies that diversify the region’s economy creating high-wage jobs for inclusive prosperity. GSEC’s excellence in execution has been recognized by the International Economic Development Council. GSEC has also worked closely with the region’s Prosperity Partnership – a collective of economic and community development and community-based organizations in Greater Sacramento - to develop a strategic framework for inclusive economic prosperity. GSEC’s knowledge and experience has prepared it to serve in the CERF planning process.
