Inspirame is a start-up C-corporation based in Sacramento, California, with a mission to end generational poverty through educational attainment. As an organization, we firmly believe that every individual deserves access to education and the opportunity to be informed, exposed, and inspired. This includes empowering adult learners with the necessary skills for employment, as we recognize the importance of equipping communities with the tools they need to thrive in the face of advancing technological advances. Our goal is to prepare individuals for the future workforce, while also addressing the immediate needs of those seeking employment. By doing so, we hope to create a lasting impact that will help break the cycle of poverty for generations to come. Maria Medrano’s and Mauricio Gonzalez’s combined 44 years of experience bring a unique perspective to the planning table. Maria's extensive leadership roles at Google, Visa, and Cisco give her an in-depth understanding of the corporate world, while her personal lived experience as a first-generation college graduate provides a unique and personal perspective to the work. Mauricio's 22 years of experience as a college counselor and professor working with marginalized communities provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by those seeking higher education, as well as the challenges faced by colleges due to limited funding and the lack of connection colleges have with vulnerable communities.
