Competitive Grant Proposal Writing Workshop Series

April 28 @ 8:00 am - June 2 @ 5:00 pm

Valley Vision sponsored a free grant writing workshop series designed to strengthen the capacity of community-based organizations across the Capital Region responding to the Catalyst RFP. The series kicked off with two virtual sessions on April 28 and 29, followed by two in-person half-day workshops that built upon these foundations which were held in May 29 and June 2.
Valley Vision engaged Sarah Hall, an experienced third-party consultant, to lead a series of grant proposal writing workshops designed to support community-based organizations in the Capital Region applying to the We Prosper Together Catalyst RFP.
About Sarah Hall: Sarah is a seasoned business leader experienced in setting clear vision, building high performing teams, and driving results. She has worked in nonprofit fund development as a grant proposal writer and in sales, strategy, business operations, and product roles including Director and Vice President leadership roles, most recently at Intuit. Sarah has English and Communication degrees from Stanford University.

Sarah has built strong skill sets in writing and clear, data-backed storytelling and also coaches teams and individuals in these areas. Whether writing a grant proposal, creating a business case, or crafting a strategic vision document, great leaders communicate the right information in a way that motivates action, changes minds, and drives results. Strong storytelling accelerates impact; poor storytelling hinders it. Sarah is passionate about equipping leaders with good communication and storytelling tools and is excited to empower community-based organizations through these workshops.
