Once completed, APM will feature an all-electric campus that includes a shared-use incubator kitchen, a social enterprise café, a retail store featuring products from small Sacramento makers and grocery staples, a weekly farmers’ market, a co-working office, and more.
APM aims to build a pipeline for underserved entrepreneurs to start new food businesses, provide workforce development for individuals with high barriers to employment, create a community gathering place, and offer access to quality food and produce from local producers.
California Jobs First awarded Alchemist Public Market $7.8 million through the Economic Development Pilot Fund to complete the construction of the project.
