City of Trees Foundation

Our organization is dedicated to environmental justice and sustainable economic development; we believe that to take meaningful strides against climate change, we must also support people and communities. City of Trees seeks to plant trees in underserved communities across California, beginning in the Sacramento area. We will plant trees for those who request them on private property as well as in public spaces. We want to work with organizations that hire underemployed individuals that have been formerly incarcerated or experience homelessness. Our organization brings years of experience in the public health and environmental sphere. We also bring a strong foundation of familiarity of the Sacramento area and the needs of its residents. We are deeply committed to the cause of environmental justice and would love to contribute to the planning of sustainable economic development in the capital region for CERF.
