Sacramento Central Labor Council AFL-CIO

As the central labor body and labor convener for the 6 county region, The Sacramento Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO represents the interests of 98 local unions and their nearly 200,000 members advocating on behalf of workers across all industries and sectors. We and our affiliated unions work extensively in all corners of workforce development through our apprenticeship and training programs and through our work across multiple workforce boards. The Sacramento Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO has extensive knowledge of the region. We have experience working with the community at large and have knowledge of stakeholders who have historically been anti-equity and anti-working class. Our participation brings this expertise, workers’ voices, and these relationships to the table and will ensure that the regional convening partnership is invested in elevating the needs and priorities of disinvested working communities.
